About the site

www.evro.si is a part of a communication programme informing the publics in Slovenia about Slovenia's introduction of euro. It has been launched on 15 February 2006 by the Government communication office and Bank of Slovenia.

Communication programme is being implemented in line with the communication strategy, prepared by the Communication working group and adopted by the Council of Bank of Slovenia on May 19 2005 and by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on June 2 2005. This document is now a basis for the implementation of the euro campaign and all activities in this regard.

With the adoption of the communication strategy the Government communication office was authorized as a national contact point for cooperation with the European Commission for the purpose of euro campaign.
